Operations Director
Kira Brandman
Kira wandered into Springs Food Pantry and began volunteering in the fall of 2020, after noticing the long lines of cars outside the church on Wednesdays. She joined the Board a year later. Some of Kira’s responsibilities include: overseeing Wednesday morning produce staging; managing floor operations during distribution; strategizing weekly plans; analyzing and reporting on costs/recipient family; running the summer lunch program for school-aged children; maintaining relationships with, and ordering from our meat, bread and retail purveyors; and planning and running in-person fundraising efforts. Her work at the pantry coincides perfectly with her lifelong passion for children’s health and education, and raising up our neighbors in need.
Kira holds a B.A. in Government from Clark University, and an MBA in Marketing and Management from New York University. After a short career as a business consultant in the telecommunications industry, Kira switched gears and became a stay-at-home mom, spending time with her daughter and son. She made volunteering a priority, whether at the kids’ schools, in local politics, or for charitable organizations. Having successfully launched both kids, Kira was happy to find a warm welcome at Springs Food Pantry, and has thrived in the ever increasing size and needs of the organization.
